Introducing...

I'd like to introduce you guys to a new character in the Lone March series, who debuts in Moon-Burn.

Initials: B. W.

Sex: Male

Age: Late Teens

Hair: Light Brown

Eyes: Deep Brown

Were-Status: Wolf

Personality: Well, I guess you'll just have to wait and see.

Like Ruthie in Book Two, this character doesn't have a huge presence in Moon-Burn, but, also like Ruthie, he will gain more prominence as the series goes on.

Oh, and I'll tell you this--you're gonna hate this guy's dad.

Have a beautiful Tuesday!

Meet My Cover Model!

Hi, ladies and gents!

As a small tease for Moon-Burn that really doesn't have anything to do with the content of the book, I'd like to introduce you guys to my wonderful cover model, Kala Geers.  She's done some commercial and TV work, as well as stage and a bunch of print stuff, but you know her as March Howe.  She did both covers for books 1 and 2 and will continue to be my real-life March for the rest of the series.

Kala is so lovely in every respect of the word--beautiful (obviously), polite, sweet, and charmingly demure--but best of all, she's a Texan, like me!  I hand-picked her and I'm so lucky she was available to work with me.

So, the picture below is from the Moon-Burn cover photo shoot, but is not at all the one we're using--in fact, this shot was actually taken between setups.  But even though it's not being used, I didn't want it to go to waste because it's such a beautiful shot, so I thought I'd share it with you guys.  Plus, it's nice to see "March" smiling because, of course, she won't ever be smiling on any of the actual covers.

Ain't she just the prettiest thing you ever did see?

Anyway, that's all for this post, but I do vow to reveal the actual cover for Moon-Burn, when it's available (but no ETA on that yet, sorry).

Happy Thur--oops, it's almost Friday now--Happy Friday:)

Oops!

So I wrote all these taglines and kind of forgot about them till today.  Thought I would share the first few...

Book One, Moon-Linked:

Change is inevitable, hers is deadly.

Book Two, Moon-Ache:

Unlikely friends, unbelievable foes.

I bet you thought all those blank lines meant I wasn't going to reveal the third one, huh?

Yeah, I know you just skipped to the bottom, but this is a blog--I've only got so much to work with here--humor me!

*Ahem*

And now, the tagline for the upcoming Moon-Burn, Book Three of the Lone March Series...

Her greatest enemy is herself.

Chew on that for a while.

I love New Music Day!

Hey, lovelies!

Just thought I'd share some awesome news: Eisley's new EP came out today!   Here's what it looks like:

You can get it on itunes for $5.00 so you should go on itunes now and buy it for $5.00 :D  It has 5 songs, 4 new and 1 that was actually on the "Fire Kite" EP, but it was a scratch track back then that Sherri had done on garage band.  The new version has been studio-produced and is quite lovely.  I'm telling you guys, I'm really digging this EP.  I was on the fence at first, because I tend to be wary with new music from my favorite bands, being that I hold them to my ridiculous standards of nostalgia for eras long past.  But "Deep Space" is good.  If you're an old-school Eisley fan, who's been around since the beginning, you will know what I'm talking about.  These new songs feel very old-school Eisley, both instrumentally and lyrically.  This makes me extra excited about the new album due out later this year.

And while we're on new albums, let's not forget Stacy's solo album, coming out April 10th (woohoo!).  When I say solo, I mean separate from Eisley (though she's still very much in Eisley) but not actually solo.  It's a collaborative effort with her husband, Darren King (Mute Math drummer) and Jeremy Larson.  They're called Sucré.

Here's the first single, for those who haven't heard it yet:

I love this song--it was exactly what I was expecting, everything I was hoping for in a Stacy solo project.  Cannot wait for the album!!

Anyway, just wanted to plug their new stuff.  I'm off now!

xxErin

PS. If you've never heard Eisley's music, or perhaps don't remember hearing the band's name at all, I will jog your memory...they are mentioned in both Moon-Linked and Moon-Ache, as March's favorite band.  Coincidence?  Probably not...

My New Interview is Out!

It actually went up in the wee hours of the morning, but I haven't been near a computer till now, so sorry it's a little late, but, seeing as it's not a dish of ice cream* that must be eaten right away or it will melt, it's still available and will, as far as I know, always be available.  So read it.  You know, if you want to and stuff.

*This makes two recent posts now where I have used ice cream as a metaphorical tool.  Is my subconscious trying to make me fat?

Here's the link to the interview: Jagged Edge Reviews

The girls at Jagged Edge were super nice and asked some great questions that were a lot of fun to answer.  Hope you have as much fun reading them:)

That's all for now--stay tuned for more Moon-Burn Teasers to come!!

An Excerpt from Moon-Burn, anyone?

Was gonna make you fellas wait till tomorrow for this, but I'm in a giving mood, so why not?  The following is an itty bitty excerpt from the upcoming Moon-Burn (Lone March, #3).  This is one of my favorite moments of the whole book.  Might actually be my favorite.

He laid his arm across the back of the bench, not hugging me back, and said, “I’m glad I could help.”
“You always help,” I said, looking up at him.
His eyes reflected uncertainty and hesitation.  And then he said, “I think we could both benefit from some sleep.”
I didn’t know why, but I reached up and straightened his crooked bowtie as I asked, “How was the opera?” in a teasing tone.
He caught my wrist in his hand and brought it away from his tie.  “Go to bed, March,” he said quietly.
The small smile I’d had faded quickly and I slid my arm away from hugging him and stood awkwardly up and exited the room.

So there you have it.  What do you think?  It may seem really random to you guys and not what you were expecting for an excerpt, but it truly is my favorite little moment, so there was no question it would be the first teaser.  I guess you'll have a better understanding as to why it's my favorite once you've read the whole book.  Just so's ya know, the use of pronouns in place of his name is on purpose, because I'm not going to come right out and tell you who March is talking to, though some of you can probably guess.  Feel free to read into it as much as you like.

As stated previously, there will be more things to come, so stay tuned!
